2013 Carlsbad Beach Fest

Carlsbad Beach Fest 2013Be a part of protecting the City’s coasts at the sixth annual Carlsbad Beach Fest happening on June 15, 2013 from Pine Avenue to Tamarack State Beach. This event aims to raise awareness about the importance of sustaining local beaches.

Some of the free attractions at the event include a kids one-mile fun run, live performances across various stages, booths for vendors of Green products, sand sculpting, surf lessons, a beach cleanup (10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 to 3:00 pm), and the Hands Across the Beach program where guests, together with the City Mayor and Representatives, will be linking hands at the one mile shore line at noon.

There will also be competitive sports spectacles including a 5k Low Tide Run, 5k Low Tide Walk, the Carlsbad CRWL Beach Tri which involves swimming, running through an obstacle course, and paddling (SUP or Prone), Beach Duathlon, Paddle Board Races, Ocean Swim,  Pro and Amateur Surf contests, plus Zumba Dance Fitness led by local instructors.
