The City of Carlsbad is sending out an advisory to the members of the Arts Commission for their monthly meeting on September 6, 2012, from 9:00-10:30AM. The venue is set at the Council Chambers, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, California.
The Carlsbad Arts Commission is composed of seven members who are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Appointees have to be registered residents of the City of Carlsbad and serve four-year terms upon induction. Monthly meetings are normally held every first Thursday of the month unless reasons for rescheduling come up. The Arts Commission serves to advise the City Council on matters pertaining to the implementation of projects in relation to the arts element of the Carlsbad General Plan. Other duties include providing direction and support for continued development and presentation of a variety of arts and reviewing and making recommendations upon all works of art to be acquired by the city.
