In line with the celebration of Thanksgiving, the Carlsbad City Library is hosting “Thanksgiving Family Fun” on November 27, 2013 at 2:00 in the afternoon at the Family Focus Center, Dove Lane, Carlsbad, California.
The library staff has prepared a lot of fun activities for both children and adults alike.
Better known as the Dove Library, Carlsbad City Library has a total of 64,000 square feet in floor area. It was opened in 1999 and has increased its collection to over 200,000 items in the last 14 years.
Aside from its vast collection,the facility boasts the following features:
- Free computer access with Internet connectivity, Microsoft Office capability, and printing capacity
- Computer literacy classes
- Wireless Internet connection
- Study areas
- Natural garden with children’s program area
- Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium that seats 215 and offers talks, film showings, concerts, and play readings
- William D. Cannon Art Gallery
- Gowland Meeting Room
- Friends of the Library Bookstore
- Various book clubs
- Café Muse, an on-site coffee kiosk
