Oceanside 125 YearsThe City of Oceanside will be celebrating its 125th Anniversary on July 3, 2013. This fun-filled day will be co-hosted by the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, the City’s Parks & Recreation Division, and the Library.

Kicking things off will be an official ceremony at 11:00 am, at the Civic Center Plaza at 300 North Coast Highway. After dark, the public can come to the Anniversary Fireworks show that will take place from 6:00 to 10:00 in the evening. The show will be deployed north of the El Corazon Senior Center, located at 3302 Senior Center Drive.

Guests will be able to witness musical entertainment, speeches, proclamations, and recognition of City, County & State officials. In addition, the Boy and Girl Scouts will be distributing carnations commemorating Oceanside’s title of “Carnation City” back in 1888.

In addition, the Tri-City Medical Center will be providing a 125th Anniversary Cake that up to 1,000 people will get to enjoy.
